What opened just before Dhanteras 2026?

Three format stories landed in the same two weeks. Lucira opened its seventh India store on Sampige Road, Malleshwaram, on 11 Oct 2026 (Orozone Jewel News, 26 Oct 2026; Indian Retailer / FranchiseTV, about 10 Oct 2026). Palmonas opened its 115th store in HSR Layout on 24 Oct 2026 (Indian Retailer / FranchiseTV), after announcing a lab-grown diamond foray in July (BusinessLine, 21 Jul 2026). True Diamond lists AI-enabled ring stores in HSR Layout and Indiranagar on its store locator, with secondary coverage in Diamonds News.

How many lab-grown jewellery shopfronts are already in Bangalore?

At least 23, named as lab-grown jewellery in our census, before Lucira is added. We listed every active Jewellery row whose brand name signals a dedicated lab-grown or lab-grown-led format, and excluded false positives such as cafes or salons.

Trade coverage cites Wazir Advisors on the India lab-grown diamond jewellery market rising from Rs 3,452 crore in FY25 toward Rs 5,179 crore by FY28 (as reported via Orozone, Indian Retailer and BusinessLine). Treat that as third-party market sizing, not a Lokazen figure.

Why Malleshwaram, HSR and Indiranagar?

Because each pocket already has jewellery density, and each rewards a different format.

Malls or high streets for the new jewellery formats?

Citywide, jewellery is still a high-street category: only 119 of 2,029 active jewellery outlets (5.9%) sit inside malls, across 39 malls and 2,184 in-mall outlets of every category. Lab-grown peers split the difference. Aukera and ORIGEM lean mall and large-format. Limelight mixes Mantri Square with HSR and Koramangala streets. Ethera, Onya, Cosmos, VEDA, Aigiri, Lucira and True Diamond are street-first.
